Akumal Diving
|
Cenote Dive is a guided tour of a cavern in an overhead environment. We require all divers to be open water certified. Our guides are minimum Full Cave Certified and equipped with full cave diving gear. Lights are required by all divers. The average temperature of the cenote water is 77°F. Cenote Diving is best during the morning hours. This leaves the afternoon open for touring nearby ruins at Tulum or returning to the dive shop for an afternoon dive. We require a minimum of 3 persons to conduct the Cenote Dive. The standard cost is $75 USD per person. Some sites require an additional entrance fee. For those that are already cave or cavern certified we offer guided tours. We have a number of double tanks and "y" valves available to rent, but if you have your own valves and specialized equipment we suggest you bring them and assemble them to our tanks. Most caves sites are located within 15 to 30 minutes drive from Akumal. The cost for guided cave diving depends on the dive site. The standard price is $95 USD for a private tour and $75 USD per person in groups of 2 or more divers.
